When you spend months at a time navigating the wide, open seas, or long days moulding young minds in a busy Primary School classroom, coming home shouldn’t feel like just another chore. It should feel like a sanctuary—a place where time slows down, the stress melts away, and every day carries the gentle calm of a tropical getaway.
When this newly-wed couple approached us with their new BTO flat in Toa Payoh, their brief was clear and heartfelt: “We want our home to feel like a permanent holiday.”

- Open, Airy Flow: By maximizing natural light and creating clean visual lines, the home feels spacious, breezy, and effortlessly inviting.
Living & Dining: Designed for Slow Afternoons
After months out at sea, the husband needed a space to unwind and recalibrate. For the wife, coming home from a high-energy school environment meant needing a quiet space to reset.
- The Lounge: The living area features clean-lined furniture paired with warm wooden tones and plush seating. Integrated ambient light strips create a soothing, low-glare glow—perfect for quiet movie nights or unwinding with a book.
- Dining in Paradise: We brought a touch of alfresco dining indoors with a dedicated dining space that blends seamlessly into the living room, making weekend breakfasts feel like a resort brunch.
A Sanctuary Master Bedroom: Restful & Restorative
Sleep quality and peace of mind were top priorities for both partners.
- Hotel-Inspired Suite: We designed the master bedroom with a serene headboard feature wall, soft warm lighting, and clutter-free storage to keep visual distractions to a minimum.
- Unwinding Made Easy: The design focuses on soft, tactile materials that promote restfulness, giving the couple a true master suite experience without ever stepping foot out of Toa Payoh.
